About Us
“There’s nowhere else where a client who is a block-layer can sue big business and be on equal footing. We give people that opportunity.”
-Bruce L. Scheiner
Founder and Senior Attorney
Big Enough to Help – Small Enough to Care
After almost four decades, and more than 20,000 cases, the name Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner is synonymous with helping accident victims in Southwest Florida.
Our firm does not work for big business or insurance companies. We only represent people who have been seriously injured or killed by the negligence of other drivers, businesses, companies, officials, and negligent professionals.
Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner focuses on representing victims of car, truck, motorcycle, boat, DUI and plane accidents as well as bad drugs and defective products; professional malpractice, nursing home abuse, dog bites, slip and fall, premise liability and other personal injury cases.
You Pay Nothing Unless We Win
Mr. Scheiner’s promise is simple: You pay nothing unless we win. If he takes your case, it’s because he thinks he can help… and because he cares.
The firm will shoulder the cost of investigating your case, hiring the experts, negotiating with the insurance companies and, if necessary, taking your case to trial.
If we win, we get paid. If we don’t recover you money, you don’t pay us a dime.
Experience the Difference
There are out-of-town attorneys with local offices. There are attorneys who put their name in the phone book, lease an office and go into business. There are young attorneys and old attorneys. There are good attorneys and there are bad attorneys.
And there are a select few attorneys who have spent their lives, as Bruce L. Scheiner has, representing people who have been seriously injured or killed right here in Southwest Florida. In 1971, Mr. Scheiner was the 110th attorney in Lee County when he graduated from the University of Miami and opened his office in Fort Myers. Today, he is among the most experienced of the more than 800 registered with the Lee County Bar Association. The Florida Bar had 12,924 members the year he graduated from law school. Today there are more than 100,000, including those who have retired or are no longer practicing law.
Mr. Scheiner had been representing accident victims for two years when the Oldsmobile Toronado debuted with an airbag in 1973. He had been at work for nearly two decades when Chrysler made airbags standard in 1988.
Who do you want looking out for you and your family?
Team of Professionals
Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner offers you the legal and financial firepower of one of the area’s premiere firms while maintaining the dedication and personal service of your neighborhood law office.
From the original one-room office in downtown Fort Myers, Mr. Scheiner took on his first associate attorney in 1975 before breaking ground in 1979 on his own 10,000 square foot building at Winkler and Evans avenues, where the firm’s headquarters are located today. While the original plan was to lease part of that facility to other offices, the firm quickly outgrew its new building and added a 10,000 square foot addition in 1986.
Today, Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner has grown to a team of over 50 professionals, including attorneys, paralegals, registered nurses, law students, retired police officers, case managers, journalists, private investigators and former insurance executives with offices in Fort Myers, Naples, Port Charlotte, and Cape Coral.
Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner also has access to a wide array of outside doctors, medical and legal experts, investigators and other attorneys that can help with every thing from case preparation to the appeals process.
The firm’s experienced and dedicated staff offers a broad range of legal and professional services tailored to meet each client’s needs in virtually every situation, from a neighborhood argument over a dog bite to media management in the wake of a catastrophe.
Family Affair
At work six and seven days a week with his wife Cheryl, who runs the office, and son PJ, who joined the firm as an associate attorney in August 2007, the Scheiners have built one of the largest legal practices in Southwest Florida by treating each customer like a member of the family. Our highly effective case-management strategy puts the client’s needs first and stresses full and open communication at every stage of your case. Many staff members are bilingual and can also provide special-needs assistance when necessary.
At Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, your case is Number One.
Our on-call staff is available to speak with clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If a client is physically unable to visit one of our offices, we’ll arrange to have one of our representatives meet with them in their home or hospital room.
If you’ve been in a serious accident or suffered because of someone else’s negligence, call today for a free consultation. If Mr. Scheiner takes your case, you pay us nothing unless we win.
