Stuffed animals collected: Deputies give to children during traumatic events
Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Attorneys for the Injured is teaming up with Southwest Florida Chapter of American Bikers Aimed Toward Education and Fort Myers Harley Davidson for the 2008 Bears for Bears Drive.
Through May 22, employees are collecting and donating new or gently used stuffed animals (not just bears) to donate to this year’s effort.
The bears will be donated to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at aMemorial Day weekend motorcycle safety event at Fort Myers Harley Davidson.
“They donate them in times of trauma like a domestic violence call, traffic accident or fire,” said Southwest ABATE Chapter President Frankie Kennedy. “We’ve been doing it for seven or eight years — any kind of stuffed animal to help the kids would be greatly appreciated.”
