Lee County Jury Awards $44.9 Million in Motorcycle Accident Case
FORT MYERS, FLORIDA (December 7, 2009)
Late Friday afternoon, on December 4, 2009, a Lee County Jury returned a verdict in excess of $44.9 million as restitution for the catastrophic and life-altering injuries sustained by Cape Coral resident Gerald Aloia in a motorcycle collision which occurred on October 21, 2006. At the time of the collision, Mr. Aloia was riding home on his motorcycle to care for his disabled daughter when he was struck from behind by a Chevrolet Corvette driven by the Defendant. Mr. Aloia was represented by P.J. Scheiner of the Ft. Myers law firm, Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Attorneys for the Injured, and John Romano of the Romano Law Group in Lake Worth, FL.
Mr. Aloia’s quest for justice is ongoing and neither he nor his attorneys will be able to comment at this time due to pending post-trial matters.
