Bruce L. Scheiner Charity Poker Tournament set for Nov. 9

Supports March of Dimes work with mothers, children.

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Nov. 6, 2019) – March of Dimes will once again be the beneficiary of the annual Bruce L. Scheiner Charity Poker tournament Nov. 9 at the Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Racing & Poker facility in Bonita Springs.

The event begins at 4:30 p.m. with a VIP reception. Poker will start at 5 p.m. and continue until there is a winner. There also is a re-buy-in option available for players, who are knocked out of the tournament before 6 p.m.

Cost to enter is $110, with $50 from every entry going to March of Dimes. The non-profit organization supports mothers during their pregnancies along with continuing research and providing resources and programs that will help lower premature birth rates and infant death rates.

“There is a strong commitment from Bruce L. Scheiner for the welfare of small children,” said Cliff Winkler, who is the tournament’s marketing director. This commitment is especially important for Bruce as his son, PJ Scheiner, raises his two children.

Professional dealers and staff from the poker room will be running the event.

Players can go to blscharity.com to register and pay for the event, as well as get more information on the tournament. The day of the event, players can also sign up, pay the entry fee and play.

And there’s much more than just the cards. There will be thousands of dollars in prizes in addition to a cash jackpot. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
