Firm Welcomes Second Generation Attorney Preston J. Scheiner
Preston John Scheiner grew up in the firm alongside his father, Bruce L. Scheiner, the firm’s founder and senior attorney, and mother, Cheryl Scheiner, the firm’s administrator.
This week, he realized a life-long dream when he joined the firm as an associate attorney after a distinguished academic career that won numerous awards and recognition for his trial and litigation skills.
“The crown jewel of practicing law is working with my bright and passionate young son, who shares my vision for fair and compassionate representation of those who thought they had no voice,” Bruce L. Scheiner said.
Over the years, Preston Scheiner has worked in virtually every position at the firm, including file room clerk, mediation assistant, interim director of marketing, trial intern and interim complaints coordinator.
Attorney Scheiner graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami School of Law.
While in law school, Mr. Scheiner was awarded the John F. Evans Memorial Scholarship for the most outstanding student in litigation skills; the Thomas Ewald Memorial Award Recipient, awarded to the top student in litigation skills who most exemplifies devotion to high standards and ethical conduct; the CALI Excellence for the Future Award Recipient for Excellent Achievement in the Study of Litigation Skills; and the Dean’s Certificate for Achievement for Outstanding Academic Performance in Litigation Skills.
Throughout high school, college and law school, Mr. Scheiner won numerous awards in mock trial competition at the state and national level, including Best Attorney at the 2003 Brown University Roger Williams Invitational Tournament.
When not in the office, Preston Scheiner enjoys flying and has distinguished himself in that field at an early age. He is a licensed multiengine commercial pilot with single and multiengine instrument privileges. Type Rated in CE-525 Twin Turbojet Aircraft.
